Supertech Diesel wasn’t built in a boardroom — it was built in a driveway by a working technician who believed in doing things the right way.
The first “shop” was a tiny one-bay garage beside a house in Nanaimo. Mike’s first hire was Davina Neave, who ran service operations straight out of the mobile days — long before Supertech became a household name in the diesel community.
Shortly after, Dane Frazer joined as the first technician. Because the bay only fit one person, Dane worked inside while Mike worked outside in the driveway — in rain, snow, heat, whatever the day brought. No excuses. No shortcuts. Just solid, honest work.
This small team quickly built a reputation for integrity, transparency, and unmatched diesel expertise. Their guiding philosophy was simple: Know when the manufacturer got it right… and recognize when they got it wrong. And when they saw a pattern failure, they didn’t just fix it — they sourced long-term solutions to prevent it from happening again. That problem-solving approach earned Supertech a province-wide reputation for innovative, reliable diesel service.
By 2016, the humble one-bay garage evolved into a 10-bay flagship diesel facility — the largest and most advanced diesel specialist on Vancouver Island. This milestone transformed the business and solidified Supertech as the Island’s go-to destination for heavy-duty diagnostics, repair, and diesel-specific engineering solutions.
For many customers, their diesel truck isn’t just transportation — it’s a livelihood. A tool. A business partner. An essential part of daily life. Supertech has always understood that responsibility. That’s why every repair starts with precise diagnostics, clear communication, and a commitment to doing the job right the first time. Our customers deserve to feel informed, supported, and confident — and that has been the standard here since day one.
From a van in 2011 to a multi-shop industry leader today, the mission remains the same; Do great work. Be honest. Take care of people. That’s the Supertech Nanaimo way — yesterday, today, and always.
